How it works

An overhead camera reads the miniatures, terrain, and objectives, and an app asks the players for what the camera can't see. That live copy handles scoring, range, and line of sight, powers a Coach and Computer opponents, can finish a game from its current position, and becomes an automatic battle report.

Questions

Do I need special hardware?

Yes. You need a phone for the overhead camera, an overhead mount, printed objectives and transponders, and a second device to run the app. See the kit on the Supplies page

Can I play without the camera?

No. Tabletop games need the overhead camera, because that is how Wargame Simulator knows where your models are.

What does it cost?

It's free.

Which games are supported?

Warhammer 40,000 has the deepest support, down to each model, weapon, and roll. One Page Rules and Ravaged Star are also supported.
